Quantum information is extremely fragile and therefore needs specialized hardware to transmit, manipulate, and store the light to maintain its Quantum nature.

This executive course introduces an overview of quantum communication. Learners will explore the differences between classical and quantum communication, overview of terrestrial (fibre, free space) and space-based (satellite) quantum links, what is the Quantum Internet, and why Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is theoretically 100% secure.

This will be taught through the lens of the most promising intended uses for Quantum Communication.
