Engineers are interested in understanding real world case studies that are directly related to, or can transfer over to, their industry’s pain points. This technical module will explore applications of a form of quantum computing called quantum annealing that can be used to solve complex optimization problems. Qubo will present use cases relevant to several industries, such as transportation and logistics optimization, balancing financial portfolios, fraud detection, optimizing insurance premiums, and improving energy management. This module will include the quantum physics behind the technology, and is suitable for a STEM background without any prior quantum knowledge.
